Jackie Brown: A Classic Reimagined - Cinema Book
You may be familiar with what a cinema book is, but if not, then I'll explain. They are usually published after a film is released and they chronicle the details of the film and are usually choc full of extras.

The prompt for this project was truly unique: Select a film, any film, and reimagined it told in a different decade. Then compile art, detailed typography and a bit of contemporary style into a movie book for the reimagined story, including hand-made props and original photography. This was an interesting project and demonstrates some of my creative abilities in layout and photography.

For this project, Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, originally released in the late 90s, is reimagined as if it took place in the 1920s. Have a look at some of the spreads below, beginning with the endpages.
Endpages: these would appear as a buffer spread between the inside of both the front and back covers.
Title Page
Article 1: Pam Grier on when she first met Quentin Tarantino.
Article 2: For those that haven't seen Jackie Brown or any Tarantino film, there are usually emphases on drugs and crime syndication. In this story, Ordell is a gangster who has a passion for dealing and wielding firearms. This spread tells his story through the use of the many guns he either uses or mentions throughout this reimagined film.
Article 3, Part 1: This spread introduces a deeper introspection to the story, featuring juicy plot details from the film alongside a contemporary 1920s style headline and period-redesigned prop photography.
